Abstract: drawing in a pluriversal world

How can the act of drawing stimulate the deconstruction of universal thinking and contribute to embracing ways of reading difference and diversity as a collective force, exchange and sharing of pluriversal knowledge?

Decolonial perspectives encourage the development of teaching and learning processes that are more critical and aware of the contradictions and systems of power in which we live, thus forming more socially-just approaches.

Based on my art-based research in the scope of contemporary drawing, I propose to show the potential of drawing when assumed as a creative exercise and process of self-reflective and anti-normative investigation.

Thus, it proposes ways of reading the world that accommodate multiple readings and encourage sharing points of view in a context of interculturality.
