Pippa El Khadi Brown who graduated from BA Fine Art Painting in 2018 has won the Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize receiving £3000 cash plus £500 of materials from Cass Arts and an exhibition in the Ashurt Emerging Artist Gallery between November and March 2021.
Pippa’s practice focuses on the domestic home, looking at how we interact with space and consider the home as our ‘natural environment’, an evolving habitat with which we engage. Pippa works with paint in gestural and tactile way, often applying directly from the tube.
