Isabel Rock, alumni of Fine Art Printmaking at the University of Brighton received the biennial award as part of the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2023. Isabel Rock received the prestigious Evelyn Williams Drawing Award, worth £10,000 and a solo exhibition at Hastings Contemporary, from a total of 3,000 submissions from 40 countries.
Isabel Rock studied a Fine Art Printmaking BA(Hons) from 2001 to 2004. Her narrative drawings explore systems of commerce, power structures, the complexities of desire, objects of value, the fallibility of human nature and the enterprising charm of human endeavour.
