Anna is a highly influential industry figure in advancing the coverage of women’s sport in the media. Anna was producer and founder of the Sportswomen programme, which – at the time of its launch in 2012 – was the only programme of its kind dedicated to women’s sport. Anna’s role included planning daily women’s sport coverage on Sky Sports News and organising coverage of big annual sports events. Anna has been a key contributor to debates on women’s sport coverage, including contributing to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on women’s sport. Anna has since led the Special Projects team of journalists at Sky Sports News with a focus on diversity and inclusion storytelling in sport. Anna is currently on secondment as head of internal communications at Sky, and will also be able to offer insights into working in public relations as well as discussing the challenges and achievements in trying to transform sport media production culture to be more diverse, inclusive and socially responsible.
