Following the successful run of events last year, the ‘Freelancing in the Creative Industries’ series is back Monday 7th – Friday 12th March.
This series is a collaboration between the School of Art and Media and GB MET College held during National Careers Week to empower our creative students with practical tips and tricks of going freelance.
There will be 5 virtual sessions across the week featuring insight from freelancers in a variety of creative industries including alumni and academics from our school.
Topics include what is it like being a freelancer, marketing tips, financial and tax advice, applying for funding and the benefits of networking in the creative industries.
Speakers range from art, production, illustration, music, journalism and fashion but the advice and tips will be universal for anyone looking to go self-employed.
