Residential trip for student art and design teachers
A group of student teachers from our Secondary Art and Design PGCE spent the school half term break in Leeds.
They joined a residential trip organised by the University of Brighton Art Teachers Organisation (UBATO) alongside more experienced art educators.
The self-funded trip was a great success with one student commenting: “I had an amazing time and I was actually able to relax.
“I have never sketched this much before and have been drawing 2-4 hours everyday! Probably filled 30 – 50 pages in my sketchbook! It was lovely to go with my arty friends and make so much art. I feel grounded and ready for my second school-based training – thank you!”
You can see what the student teachers got up to on the UBATO website.
