Please note: May’s Hub has been postponed.
PhD Student Hub, an informal, interdisciplinary group run by and for research students, launches next week with its first meeting on 17 January 2018. The brainchild of two PhD students, Abby Barras and Kristin O’ Donnell, PhD Student Hub is open to all students. The aim is to meet every month or so and for participants to set their own agenda (or non-agenda) so a group that best supports research students’ needs can develop and flourish.
We’re very excited to see this brilliant, student-led initiative and feel sure many of our students will find it inspiring, supportive and rewarding.
If you want to go along to one or more of the meet-ups, it would be helpful if you booked a place on PhD Manager so we can gauge interest as the group gets off the ground.
Remember, this is your hub. Everyone welcome!
nb. The Hub on 28 Feb, cancelled due to snow, now takes place on 7 March. See PhD Manager for details.
Given how isolating the PhD experience can be, I think this is a wonderful idea. Hope to see some @PhD_Brighton colleagues there. pic.twitter.com/iRplibgVYj
