They can be easily stored and accessed online, and video content created in Panopto plays a key role in Digitally Enabled Learning, through pre-recording lecture content.

Creating online reading lists with Talis Aspire

What

Aspire is an online tool for creating reading lists that streamlines access to all types of resources – books, e- journals, websites and more. Aspire reading lists are linked to students’ modules in studentcentral. There is an option for students to add notes to their reading list, and flag up resources they intend to read. Aspire also gathers data on how many times a resources has been accessed.

What

Open Educational Resources (OERs) are resources that are freely accessible online and can be reused in teaching. Advantages of the online format include the ability to access materials both on and off campus and the facility to search quickly through large quanitities of material for specific topics.

Working with images

What

Digital images can easily be captured using a wide variety of devices, through downloading off the internet or through screenshots. A basic understanding of image size, screen resolution and file sizes is needed to prepare them for online, on-screen or printed use. Simple editing can be done in Word and PowerPoint, while software such as Photoshop can be used for more complex editing such as improving photo quality.
