Photo shoot outcomes

Today me and Lexie arranged a studio booking, model who we casted based on the collection and styling/props for the shoot. I shot on my Nikon Dslr because we wanted the photos to be editorial and to work in photoshop and illustrator with the files. Due to the nature of our post production and concept photographing with film wasn’t necessary.

Me and Lexie recorded Behind the scenes footage for our platform and for the look book. I also took several clips with the concept of creating a giff which we could link to Qr codes so when people scanned over the images would become interactive.

The styling and plan for model was to wear simple and stripped back clothing such as:

Black acrylic mules, black bra, green screen, bodysuit, make up bits for a natural look. This meant when we began looking at overlays the images were still clear and showed the silheuttes well.

I also created an instagram/ social media platform to make the concept feel more relevant and real. This instagram was called the name of our brand Oscillate and we are working towards a way of making it feel interactive and accessible. Brands similar to Burberry I have looked at when marketing Oscillate are Balenciaga and Gucci these two fashion houses have the most successful following and insights including saved posts, shares and level of growth compared to other brands. Balenciaga stratergizes on running there instagram like a Meme page. I think this strengthens our brand idea of being a bit humorous and playful with it.
