Summary

Join us for an online symposium on creative research methods in January.

The Creative Research Methods Group invite you to join us for another vibrant symposium on creative research methods on Tuesday 14th January 2025 14:00-15:30 GMT on Microsoft Teams.

This session features:

Barbara Grabher, University of Brighton: ‘Postcards of the Future. Creativity and Innovation in Researching Event-based Regeneration’

With the ambition to explore future making and regional development in the Austrian region of Salzkammergut and its celebration of the European Capital of Culture in 2024, Barbara Grabher asked train passengers what the future postcard of the region might look like. The responses paint a complex image between utopian and dystopian trajectories that invite for further dialogue and reflections.

Catherine Morley: ‘Creative Research to Inform Education and Practice in Dietetics

Catherine will share about their (lonely) journey using creative approaches in knowledge creation and mobilization to expand the reach of research findings and influence  policy. Catherine’s research areas are ‘What’s it like to eat when you are sick?’; malnutrition risk reduction in community-dwelling elders; and food and nutrition issues of trans and gender diverse people.

The group is supported by the Centre for Arts and Wellbeing. It is open to all who share our passion for creative methods and our desire to provide a supportive, stimulating space within which to explore these. No advance sign-up is required; just turn up on the day if you wish to join us.
