Our names are Lynn Weddle (Articulate) and Jess Moriarty (University of Brighton) and we are writing to invite you to attend a series of knowledge exchange meetings at the University of Brighton that seek to develop an international network of artists, researchers, professionals and experts working on topics linked to gender based violence and/or domestic abuse who will work together to develop a creative toolkit that people who have experienced gender based violence and/or domestic abuse can use with their children.
As part of these meetings, you will be invited to share your expertise, participate in trial creative tasks and discuss what would enhance the toolkit to ensure it is fit for purpose.
The meetings will take place on our Grand Parade campus City campus (brighton.ac.uk) on the following dates:
11-1pm 28th April – Sallis Benney Theatre Grand Parade (ground floor)
11-1pm 10th May – Boardroom at Grand Parade (mezzanine level, lift access)
(Rescheduled now: 24th May 11am-1pm) 11-1pm 17th May – Sallis Benney Theatre Grand Parade (ground floor)
Refreshments will be provided and there is the option to join us virtually.
We anticipate that these initial meetings will inform a future funding bid to the AHRC where we will apply for resources to support collaboration and trial the toolkit (and assess its potential implications for wellbeing) beyond this first stage. If you have any questions then please get in touch.
We really look forward to working with you,
Lynn and Jess
