Meet three of our new Data Analytics Masters Degree Apprentices
We caught up with them ahead of their first lecture about why they chose this particular programme, what they hope to achieve and why a degree apprenticeship route was an appealing option for them.
James Lloyd, Solutions Developer, Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
“My role as Solutions Developer involves building software that moves data between cases. I have previous experience in this area, but the statistics side of my skillset is one that I wanted to hone further and become a more rounded developer, which is why I chose this particular programme.
I work full-time, so this apprenticeship afforded me the ability to work and study at the same time because I wouldn’t have been able to do that otherwise.”
Amy Richards, Data Analyst, West Sussex County Council
“I already had a degree in maths, but when my work gave me the opportunity to do an apprenticeship, I was keen to develop my skills in data analysis and coding. I’m looking forward to learning new things and being able to apply it directly to the work I’m doing in my job.”
Sam Greene, Analytics Manager, Southern Water
“I decided to do an apprenticeship after a discussion with my manager about my career development and the path I wanted to go in. My goal is to eventually become a Chief Data Officer and I’m hoping to gain more technical experience through this apprenticeship in order to achieve this.
It’s been 12 years since I graduated from University, so I’m really looking forward to learning again.”
