The Brighton Effect: Update from Anna Bullus of Gum Drops

How have you developed or changed your products since you featured in our Brighton Effect Magazine?

We now have a few more stationary products, A5 note pads and Pencils

Have you designed any new products and do you have a best seller?

Gumdrops on the go and Gumdrop Bins are our best seller.

Has your business been affected by Covid-19?

Yes, one side of the business has been affected by covid. That being the Gumdrop Bin side of the business. Due to the lockdowns our sales dramatically dropped. Luckily the project that we have on the other side of the business, the Gum-tec projects were not affected, helping us keep afloat. Business is slowly picking up and we hope that in the next 12 months we will be able to push ahead with various projects that have had to be put on hold.

What is next for you?

We are really focusing on Gum-tec. A brand of various different compounds made with recycled chewing gum. With the aim to offer manufacturers a more sustainable alternative to virgin plastic and rubbers being used in todays markets. In turn offering brands that we collaborate with a great story, as well as ESG credentials.

Anything else you’d like to share with us?

We are really excited to announce that we have just launched a collaboration with Adidas and their iconic Stan smith Sneaker. We contributed by making the soles from Gum-tec. You can find out more about it here:
