One big decision that we were faced with was how we would go about researching, designing and building a rocket. 3 options were discussed in our meetings, which were generic and spiral product designing, as well as a complex system Development process. Finally a decision was made to construct a decision matrix in order to visualise which option would be most beneficial. The three options were scored out of 10 on Time, reliability, cost, workload and safety, with time, reliability and safety being weighted higher and workload weighted lower. Below is the decision matrix that was created to meet the criteria. After a thorough examination and double checking the values, the spiral product design looked to be most fit for the job as it would create the most accurate results without being too time consuming and expensive.
