Animation students made poetry films in response to published poets from the Forward Arts Poetry Prize which were showcased at the University of Brighton’s theatre space.
Haniyyah Nauzeer, Vince Mosti and Lexie Rhys-Jones added to their Animation BA (Hons) studies with hands-on experience at PigBird studios, who specialise in stop motion animation. The placements were arranged by course lecturer Kate Jessop after PigBird’s Trevor Hardy did a Q&A session at the inaugural Brighton International Animation Festival, which Kate created and ran earlier this year.

Kate Jessop is presenting a masterclass, on the international jury and has also curated a programme at the AniFilm Animation Festival in the Czech Republic.
Kate Jessop, has been nominated for one of the biggest awards in animation and motion design internationally for her comedy Queerer Than Thou, previously selected for development in the Berlinale Talent Lab.
