Motionographer award

Animation and digital design lecturer nominated for a Motionographer award

Kate Jessop, has been nominated for one of the biggest awards in animation and motion design internationally for her comedy Queerer Than Thou, previously selected for development in the Berlinale Talent Lab.

Kate is a multi award winning writer-director and her series – satire as cultural commentary – has already won a host of awards previously. Check out her own Kate Jessop website to see her work and visit the Motionographer website to find out about the awards.

The awards are usually held in New York but because of Covid-19 Kate will be watching from her laptop. Kate says: “I’m a bit stunned if I’m honest…and also a bit gutted as they’d normally be flying me out to New York for the award ceremony!”

She has five international distribution deals including Shorts International and Amazon Prime. She represented the UK in the Best of Women in Film and TV and was selected for the Berlinale Talent Lab both with her portfolio as a Director and with her comedy series chosen for development in the Project Lab. She enjoyed her first retrospective at the Gilbert Baker Film Festival USA in 2019.
