The University of Brighton’s second year Fine Art and Printmaking undergraduates present Gossamer, an exhibition of creative work from students at the mid-point of their degree course.
Gossamer offers a diverse collection of artworks exploring varying themes including, the political landscape, relationships, materiality, gender, and the climate crisis. This assemblage of work walks the line between playful escapism and poignant critique, as students navigate the weight of artistic expression post-Covid.
The exhibition contains an eclectic mix of sculpture, painting, film, installation, and printmaking. Audiences are invited to interact with installations and performative works and experience work created from a diverse range of materials, such as, stained glass, fermented kombucha, flowers, cast objects, and construction materials.
