Hello Alison,
Two very interesting and thoughtful posters. As we discussed this morning, I think these raise good questions to explore (and eventually decisions to make) about your particular critical and creative perspective on Henry Willetts. If you are now moving away from the focus on HW’s mission to construct a social history through ceramic collecting, towards more biographical investigation of Willetts in relation to/through your practice, what will this mean for your making? We also talked about your idea of focussing on creating pieces that are technically more simple than you might usually do, but that allow you to explore your concepts and motivations in a different way.
You are giving out a lot of rich information in your poster and this is producing a very good introduction into your interests and the direction you want to take your creative practice. Have a go at integrating one or two headings into the relevant passages so they become less formal. It could be seen as an experiment, which can be reversed if you feel uncomfortable with the way it reads. My advise would be to edit down the museum collection images to a minimum and include some more of your creative images to start setting an atmosphere that you can use to communicate an aspect of Willet’s biography. The colour samples on the right side do this very well, it might seem abstract at the moment but it will start to show you have your own particular vision.
