STRANGE BUT TRUE

Strange But True

It was a one day project which can be another development for the current project explain.

We made up a group with three people and picked the envelop containing a set of unexplained stories. The story that we were interested in was about the fish rain in Carolina.

We had to visualise this story into a sequence of images that could offer at least one rational/irrational explanation.

To our surprise, it is a common situation. We decided to make three books in the same format, but containing different explanations.

My explanation was the scientific one.

I used oil pastel which would be appropriate for quick paintings to produce images. The oil pastels remained me of my childhood, when I painted with the crayons, without actually planing anything. It was my fist time to make a pop-up book, so it didn’t work that well, but I quite like the book. I will may try use thicker paper and plan it better to make a book later using this experience.
