THE SECOND SPREADS

After having a tutorial, I started to rearrange my image elements, so that I can use the space more cleverly. It also goes well with the project itself, semiotics!

I tried to use the contrast between the blank page and the filled page to show the idea of ‘loneliness’.

Changing the size of texts also was useful for emphasising critical things.

For those scenes which I wanted to highlight, I used the whole two pages for the one image. They worked quite well. Especially the second one, the black backgorund and the long dark shadow made a quite interesting contrast with the bright tiny character.
I thought sequential images should be seen in one spread, so that it doesn’t break the flow of reading.

I wanted to be more brave at the very end, so I used the pure white background with simple texts and then the messy black background  with images to make a huge contrast.
