After trying the pop-up card, I thought about using different patterns of paper. How will it look like if there is no paintings?

However, I didn’t enjoy it that much as the pop-ups with my paintings. It was great to see that if I use thicker paper, it will be really stable that I don’t have to attach those pop-ups to long strips. After having a tutorial with my tutor, I found out that it will be a lot easier and nicer to make a box with props instead of a card with pop-ups, I will be able to apply what I have found here to my other works.

Therefore, I decided to do a collage. I don’t know why, I really find it difficult to do collages. It always feels like it is not enough, and looks really cheesy. This time was the same. I will try to practice more colleges in life drawing sessions later.

After having the workshop with Esther, I made some abstract marks over the collage I have done before. It looked a lot better than the collage itself for me.

Although I still think that pop-up card idea seems a lot more interesting, I definitely enjoyed the concept of painting the scents and the tastes of the stuffs. I will try to apply this to my final.
