She is a Korean artist, who paints in a traditional Korean way. In her painting, those women in traditional Korean clothes do what contemporary people do.

The combination of the old and the new made a unique situations. There is another contrast, and it is the woman’s different attitude when she is with others and when she is alone. Those activities in the paintings are often regarded as something that females don’t want to show to other people, even some of them are based on the prejudice of female. So in her painting, it reveals the restrictions female in nowadays encounter as well.

She often poses for her painting, so this can be a version of self-portrait.
