Samantha Lippett

She is a visual artist, curator and researcher based in London.

She graduated from BA Illustration at Brighton University in 2013 and completed her MFA in Curating at Goldsmiths University in 2016.

Most of her works contain feminine topics, like motherhood and pregnancy.

When she was doing her BA, she did a lot of experiments to find her own visual language by using variety mediums, such as fabrics and textiles, music and sound, screen printing and call models.

She also mentioned about her writing, as she was interested in female themes, she started writing about them. It was quite shocking to hear what some of the male audiences feel about faces of giving brith.

She also shared her internship experience as well. She has cleverly used the funding body.

During the MA course, which is quite individual and independent, she learnt the power of curatorial.

Now she is working on the project called ‘Living In Chronicle Times’. The digital death part was really interesting for me. As nowadays, people spend lots of time uploading their photos, thoughts and ideas on line, when it comes to the end, what will happen to this databases?
