STOCKHOLM
I went to Stockholm with my friends over the Easter holiday. It is always interesting to find out the differences among different countries.
For example, Stockholm has got bigger and wider buildings than London or Paris. However, they are different from those of Barcelona, which gave me the feeling of ‘the colour yellow’.
Buildings in Gamla Stan reminded me of Amsterdam, which I call pixel-like buildings. They looked like they were built with colourful Legos. I just felt like I am in a video game or something.
Stockholm has got the widest roads among those countries that I have visited in Europe as well. The roads were like, for pedestrians, bicycles, trams, cars and bus. Those roads in London are really narrow.
The streetlights, were the most noticeable thing for me. They were hanging on the string in the middle of the road. I only saw those tall and thin streetlights before.
The bridges were quite remarkable as well. Stockholm is consisted of few islands, so you have to cross the bridges in order to go to the other islands. That’s why they have got the ferry, which is a bit similar with that of the Thames River.
The city was quite small, I was able to walk to everywhere I wanted to go, except the airport. I quite liked the city though. I’ll may do some research about the art studios there.
