COLLAGES

After pushing myself to do collages, I felt a bit more confident about it than before. By using those abstract marks that I have made, I created some tiny houses and cactuses.

I think those can be used as the part of the journey, which the character is taking.

I put those collaged houses on a long sheet of paper, which is also coloured with the similar colour schemes.

It will be nice to use this as the background of the character’s journey I think. I should try making a video showing the image by moving the angle, not the stop motion-like one.

I still find cactuses really interesting, and I thought this can be the key factor in my story line, so I have produced a set of different cactuses by collage.

I have already done the cutting and glueing together stuff for cactuses, but I have done that with felt sheets, and I made them with my marked paper sheets this time. It was really interesting to find that although I made quite similar shaped cactuses from then and now, but they looked so different from the colours, and the texture because of the different materials.
