16.03.17 LONDON
I was quite stuck with my project, so I decided to go to London for seeking some inspirations.
It was a warm and sunny day, without any winds. It was the first proper spring day this year, I think. Flower trees were in bloom. Those flower petals made quite interesting marks on the road.
I went to Tate Modern, which is one of my favourite places in London. There were lots of nice artworks, and I took photos of some artworks that I think I can try adapting their techniques to my current project.
A complex image with simple lines.
Since I really enjoy working in small scales, this tiny frames captured my eyes.
I really liked the subtle colours and the abstract marks in this image.
I thought this is a great combinations of texts and images. Some texts almost look like images, rather than texts.
Those marks reminded me of my high school. Formulas on the blackboard. I was quite surprised how they can look as images, because I haven’t thought those can be read as images when I was in school.
This image looks really simple, but when I was trying to imitate it, I found that this piece is so well planned and really complicated. It was really hard to draw as same as the real image!
This is another image with texts. The vibrant colours stand out on the black background.
