Edward Gorey

He was an American writer and illustrator. He is popular for his typical style of pen drawings.

Somebody says that: “There was Edward Gorey before Tim Burton.” As you can figure out from this saying, both of them loved to illustrate quite dark and surrealistic scenes with unique characters.

Since I am really into those dark humours and picture books which are suitable for adults, his imaginary worlds were so fascinating for me.
