As a group, we had to make a map of the Pier. We were divided into two smaller groups. One group would be staying in the studio, and the other group would be going outside.

My group went to the pier for the research first. We did some drawings, collected interesting thins and recorded the sound. There were lots of charming features, including the pebbles, the sound of sea gulls, tourists with cameras, moving of the waves, the structure of the Pier and so on.

It was interesting find that the Pier had got two faces. Under the Pier, it was so calm, muted, and natural. Above the Pier, it was loud,  colourful, and artificial.

We decided work on the contrast between them.
