Bernard Werber is a French writer. His stories mix real and imaginary world. Some of his novels almost feel like a dictionary, because they are full of informations from variety fields, including scientific, historical and cultural features.

This book is more like prophecy than fiction, because every features in his imaginary world is made from our real life. This book starts with a theory : We are not the first mankind. There was another giant one. Also, there will be another mankind, this time, the tiny one.

In his other fictions, like ants, he focused on our past and present. However in this book, he focused more on the future. I was surprised at how he combined the past and present features well to create his own futuristic world. You can find out how broad and deep he has researched. It reminded me of the importance of researching. Every creative works are generated from excellent research.
