Today we welcomed back John and Margaret to the volunteers group. Everyone was pleased – we missed them both – and we all put in a spirited morning of path making and barrowing wood chips in dry cloudy weather, cool in the shade. John and I walked over to the Lime Glade and discussed plans for re-invigorating this beautiful area. The best bit of the day – for me – was that it was John’s birthday and man alive did he make a supreme cake washed down with a tot of whiskey. Ken was by far the most appreciative!
