Many volunteers were away today, Tim was in charge and reported six people turned out to look after the young chestnuts by covering them with brush in a wigwam like structure. The idea is to allow the trees to grow straight and strong without the interference of deer or other creatures out for a snack. The wood continues to blossom with wild flowers popping out below and chestnut flowers (candles) above. The shades of green are unbelievable. Its a real delight to have something positive to do in this wonderful environment.
