the old gate has been removed and the new gate awaits fitting – but oh no! wrong size spanners to undo the hinges! beautiful crisp white elder flowers are everywhere as well as flowering brambles. Lets hope it will be a good year for butterflies
Two benches made by lawyers from UK Power Network – Three Bridges – on their volunteer day. One replaced an original bench called The Story Bench. The new one was called The Haslett Bench because it was made on the International Woman Engineers Day 2019 and named after Caroline Haslett 1895 – 1957

A walk through the wood revealed eight different varieties of wild flower – incredible! not wild flowers but irises – how on earth did they arrive there?
produce is emerging from the recent coppicing – all the pea sticks were sold to one local villager ( although John and I took enough to satisfy our growing season) the woodland is spectacular this year
