2024 to 2025 workshops
Membership of UBATO includes four full-day Saturday workshops at the University of Brighton’s Falmer campus. The campus is well-served by public transport but free on-site parking will also be available for workshop attendees.
About the workshops
Attendees will be split into three groups of between 10 and 15 members and will remain in the same groups for all workshop days.
Each workshop date will include three, 90-minute workshops run by members as well as University of Brighton staff on a rotational basis which will share good practice and enable all members to create artwork as well as make resources for the classroom.
As a member you will deliver one workshop over the year each. This investment in the group and collaboratives practice will forge productive and supportive links. Materials will be provide by the University.
There will be a minimum of nine workshops offered on every workshop day, you will choose your preferred three workshops to attend.
Group one will deliver a 90-minute session related to their artistic identity or strengths in their teaching and attend two sessions. Groups two and three will attend three sessions. One of the non-presenting groups will be asked to provide a display of their students work. This will be rotated at the next workshop day.
