photoshoot with my product
Traditionally, men are not known to wear this piece jewellery. Through this project I almost wanted to break the gender stereotype hence why I choose a male model for my photoshoot. I tried to style it in unconventional ways.

my new object !
this is what I decided to go with. As my initial object was a piece of jewellery, I wanted to stick with jewellery. These earrings area traditional piece of Indian jewellery which was very authentic and worn by Manny within our cultural. I choose this as it carries a lot of history behind it which I absolutely love and since its a cultural product, its also very personal to me.
Choosing a new object is difficult 1
At start, I was planning to choose a fur coat as my object. I AM OBSESSED WITH FUR COATS !!!! I have always loved them and even have a few fur coats from my childhood. Here’s an image of a few of my coats. the grey fluffy one is my personal fav!
However, I was not sure whether this was the appropriate object for this project. therefore, I decided to keep looking at different things and see what works best for me.
its all trial and error!
confused !
As I was attending the lectured, I realised that the object I had chosen did not give me enough substance to do a whole project on it as it did not have any personal meaning or value behind it. Therefore I decided to change my object. Although, changing your object mid way of is always difficult as I felt like I was falling behind and made myself more work to catch up on. this made me feel anxious and I did not like the feeling! However, it is better to change the object and work with something I am comfortable with and can produce more work with than continue with an object which I was not particularly happy with.
I choose to change the object in the end.
Drawings and sketches
I decided to do a rough sketch of my necklace. I attempted to do an identical drawing. I really like how it turned out as I added a lot of detail to my drawing and used different colours to produce my work.
I love the charms! I am an extremely fidgety person haha and I think that is one of the main reasons as to why I wear this necklace everyday as I can fidget with the charms all day.
my object
I choose a necklace as my object as its almost a part of my daily routine and its somethings that’s a part of me. this is a necklace which I wear on a daily basis, with no particular meaning behind it.
The mini charms on this necklace is what draws me to it the most. the dark coloured charms go perfectly with the soft white pearls, love the combination with the gold chain. This is one of my favourite necklaces!

my thoughts on the project
This project has by far been my favorite out of all the other ones we have done purely because it allowed me to be creative which I love. However, I found it a little overwhelming at first because there were a lot of elements which we had to cover. Due to this, I decided to plan and almost produce a timetable of when and what day I will be completing the tasks. This really helped me as it meant I got all my work done on time while keeping it all organized.
On the other hand, I loved the concept of producing mood boards and macro boards for this project because I almost felt like I was dumping all my ideas. This allowed me to expand my imagination and think bigger. Then after, I categorized each of my ideas and produced mini mood boards with each of my idea/concept.
Going further, I particularly enjoying the third outcome: experimental. It almost pushed me out my comfort zone as I choose to do a workshop event. This is something I have never done before therefore I had to do some research on how to plan and throw a successful event. I enjoyed making the floor plan, producing the design and décor of it all. I am someone who’s really into interior and it’s something I would like to peruse after I finish my degree therefore this almost gave me an insight into it as I was designing a whole space on my own. I enjoyed producing the color palette, design of the tables and the placement of the décor.
In conclusion, I loved this project as it allowed me to challenge myself and take directions which I don’t usually take. There was almost nothing which I did not enjoy doing which was beneficial as it meant that I was extremely productive and ambitious about my outcomes.
