My first shoot inspired from menswear inspired clothing with the black suit adding feminine accessories like the bag and having some skin on show. As I was looking at menswear inspired clothing, doc marten boots came to mind as quite a ‘manly’ shoe. Combining this with a dress which is seen as more feminine reminded me of the grunge era. I started looking into the Marc Jacobs Perry ellis grunge collection. To me this was a perfect reference because all the clothes were oversized and baggy still with a feminine twist. My photos represented the female gaze in some ways from the way my model was posing and the certain placement of the bag in areas. Also with the slight skin and chest area showing.
