I wanted to take a look into the first women who made trousers/menswear clothing a trend for women to wear. Marlene Dietrich, Katherine Hepburn and Coco Chanel were my main focuses. Coco Chanel liked to wear trousers and so started to design suits and trousers for women to start wearing whilst doing sports and activities. Thanks to Coco Chanel and the other women mentioned, trouser suits became a fashion choice rather then just a uniform in the workplace. This is comparing Chanel from the 1950s-2018. As you can see suits are still being designed even in 2018 for Chanel, a feminine twist have been added to the suits with ribbons, lace and pastel colours which continues my concept of looking into menswear inspired clothing with a twist of feminine
