This is what I want… to achieve from this module:

• an understanding of why coursebooks are structured as they are and ways of improving them
• the ability to produce and/or alter materials to better suit my needs, without it taking excessive amounts of time
• an understanding of theoretical issues that I could potentially take further and build on, perhaps to one day publish my own materials
• knowledge about how to create effective task-based and reading/video-based lessons (which also help students to acquire language and vocabulary without explicit teaching) and to truly believe in their effectiveness – as although I like this way of teaching, I still have my reservations
• I’d like to enjoy the course, expand my knowledge and hopefully learn something new!
