Big Data in Biomedicine

This chosen video explains the use of big data in the biomedicine industry. The idea that the video explains is based upon a collective library of data brought together by leaders in the biomedical field in hope to transform the way diagnosis is done in turn preventing diseases and treatment methods. David Glazer breaks down how such vast amounts of data can be scaled down for research and the company’s and charities that are getting involved in submitting information to add to this data library.

In conclusion David Glazers vision would be astronomical for the healthcare industry. The way in which such a huge database could help and diagnose certain areas of diseases and treatment methods is incredible. With the help of marketing communications between David, the charities and organisations such as the Million Veteran program which advertises for veterans and people to join up and give their genetic information to the data library it would impact the way in which research could be collected and analysed. The end result through combining all this data, securing and working with the information would lead to a much more specific way of diagnosis worldwide.
