Practice photos: experimenting with aperature, ISO and shutter speed

I went out into Brighton and tried to simulate somewhat what I will be doing when I go to Poland and tried taking photos of the town and nature and tried to create slightly mysterious and eerie looking photos by adjusting the settings on my camera to let less light into my lens and im happy with the result I got so far. I will continue to practice before my final shoot to make sure I get the best photos possible.

Further Photographer Research

These are some photos I have collected from photographers such as Ioanna Sakellaraki, Mark Power, Eric Schuett, Morgan Silk and Alec Soth. These pictures all portray an eeriness and mystery to them, which is what I aim to portray through my photos as I will explore my own sense of place through my birth town as I haven’t been there for years and it is almost mysterious for me. Through looking at various collections of documentary photography photos of these photographers I have also gained an understanding that I will need to create a flowing aesthetic throughout all my photos as I will plan to photograph indoors and outdoors. I aim to do this by making sure that all my photos have slightly darkened lighting, make sure shapes and movement of one photo matches and or links into other photos so that they tell a story and document my sense of place which other people can interpret as a flowing progression through my experience.
