Martha’s Workshop- Handglovery

We had our first workshop with Martha where we were taught about the 5 principles of Design and were told to find out about ‘Handglovery’.

5 Design Principles:

1- BALANCE

2- REPETITION

3- CONTRAST

4- ALIGNMENT

5- HIERARCHY

From these design principles we were given three outlines sheets for Alignment, contract and Hierarchy. With these sheets and the materials we bought we made 3 collages out of magazines etc. following the particular design principle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

HANDGLOVERY

 

 

 

Handglovery is a look a the basic anatomy of typeface. It  is a guide for graphic designers when working with typography. I used this when planning my masthead and tag line.
