What have I done this week? 7/11/16 – 11/11/16
What have I done this week?
On Wednesday (3/11/16), Jules gave us the brief for AD137, Fashion photography and styling. This past week I have mainly been focusing on research within these concepts and building my knowledge in these areas. I started by starting my new sketchbook and finding images from the internet, books and magazines to create a visual library for myself of photographs where both the composition and styling inspired me. I wanted to gain a base of understanding and references for when I fully start this project.
On Wednesday 9/11/16, me and a group from the course went to London to enhance are inspiration and research of photography and styling. We visited the following exhibitions:
- The Photographers Gallery- Feminist Avant Garde of the 1970’s
- Lygia Page/ Hauser and Wirth- 3D style and hologram Brazilian artist
- Barbican Art Gallery- The Vulgar: Fashion Redefined

Overall:
London was a very beneficial trip to me as by exploring different exhibitions all with very different concepts it broadened my creative thinking and I now feel inspired and more confident to start working on fashion photography and styling.
