Photoshoot

I decided to do a photoshoot for the object brief as I wanted to capture some pictures that I could manipulate and put in my magazine editorial. I went back home (Broadstairs, Kent) to take the pictures as I wanted to use the promenade stone walls we have by our beaches. I wanted the photographs to have an ‘urban’ and ‘retro’ look to them, as I was targeting the magazine editorial to a young audience. I took this on board when styling the model, and used magazines such as I-D, DAZED and VOGUE for inspiration. Obviously the main item of clothing was my object ‘sheer tights’, so I tried to style the outfits around them.

The Outfits:

I styled the model in a plain wrap around Cos shirt, with blue darted Zara trousers. I then styled large fish net tights with silver loafers. I chose metallic shoes because I felt this would help draw the attention of the reader to the models legs, highlighting the sheer tights. Additionally, I also felt that I wanted the model to wear tights under her trousers as this was a trend I sae when me and my group went out street spotting.

For this outfit I again opted for a large white shirt from Cos, using it as a dress under block stripe sheer Primark tights and heeled black Zara boots. I again used the shirt as a dress, so the tights would take up most of the image. The contrast between black and white, allows the reader to take notice of the detail in the tights.
