Street Spotting- Sheer Tights (5/10/16)

On Wednesday 5th October, me and my group (Object: Sheer Tights) decided to go into Brighton town and try and capture some images of people wearing sheer tights.

Above are the images we took when we went out. As a group we just wanted to get an idea of who (age, type of person etc) was wearing sheer tights. From our photos you can see that there is a mix of people we captured from young to mature. Our photos also gave us a good starting point, for inspiration to find out how people styled sheer tights in this present day.

We also decided to go into Magazine Brighton (the last two images). We thought it would be beneficial for us to look for inspiration through magazines and see how or if sheer tights were being styled. I also decided to take a picture of a magazine front cover as we thought it could replicate the ‘sheerness’ of the tights.

Overall, we found that sheer tights are making a slow comeback into present day fashion and a large variation of people are styling them in multiple ways. A main style we found is people pear them with either a skirt/ dress and trainers.
