Welcome!

The Problem Based Learning Collaborative Learning Group is a space to share resources and best practice in relation to all things PBL.

The group is co-chaired by:

  • Jamie Liddell, Lecturer in Occupational Therapy (j.liddell2@brighton.ac.uk)
  • Jude Brown, Lecturer in Occupational Therapy (J.Brown5@brighton.ac.uk)
  • Dr Krishna Kishore Garikipati DProf, Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy (K.K.Garikipati@brighton.ac.uk)

Jamie, Jude, and Krishna all regularly use problem based learning in their teaching at the University of Brighton and wanted to create a space for other educators and practitioners to come together and discuss aspects of PBL.  We aim to meet every 6-8 weeks for an hour via MS Teams.  A list of the meeting dates can be found here.

The general aims of the group are:

  • To share good PBL practice within existing modules / courses.
  • To support new initiatives and ideas for implementing PBL at the university of Brighton and beyond.
  • To promote PBL internally and externally.
  • To collate a body of research relating to the pedagogy.
  • To provide training and mentorship to other professionals interested in using PBL in their teaching.
