Marketing E-mail From Absolute Music
I recently received this E-mail from Absolute Music. I am a member of their VIP club which allows me to access various special offers. Clearly this E-mail is a call to action as the special offers are designed to entice me to open my wallet and spend money. Sadly for Absolute Music on this particular occasion this is not going to happen as the offers in the E-mail are not of interest to me.
This is a well put together marketing campaign. However, unfortunately the links in the E-mail are not tagged so when looking at this with screen reading software, I have no idea what I am looking at. Clearly this is a small oversight and wouldn’t affect most people. However, the firm could still potentially lose out on revenue as it is possible that someone who is using screen reading software may elect to not click on the links in the E-mail.
However, it is possible to open the link in a web browser and you can do that by clicking:
When you do, the web page loads and is tagged appropriately which is great. I shall let Absolute Music know about this particular issue and no doubt they will address it.
