I knew as as soon as i picked Twiggy as a topic for my zine that i wanted to do a photoshoot dedicated to the make up of the 60’s looking at iconic looks Twiggy wore and 60’s make up trends looking at the colours that were worn and how.
I looked at the colours, the contrasts, eye shadow and liner shapes. The most common look was the bold black eyeliner with a catlike and cut crease line with the nude lip so this was definitely work from and adapt to the models face. I look that i really like that i saw used within fashion magazine’s through the 60’s was the bright blue eye shadow, a typical 60’s look that isn’t as bold when used today in fashion. I used the blue eye show and but stuck with the classic Twiggy eye liner shape but i did use a pink lipstick to completely clash with the blue, i didn’t want it to bold as the eye was the statement bit but also wanted to work to clashing vibrant colours throughout the look.
60’s make-up was always bold and vibrant working and matching with the outfit, if that was having clashing colours or matching. I enjoyed the make up and going over dramatic so it worked well on camera with the head shots i did so through my other photoshoot i will still like to use the make up as a stand out section to each photo.
A few photos from the photoshoot i did for the make up after editing them and adapting them within photoshop.
