Eloise group Tutorial Feedback
Above is all the work that I showed in the group tutorial this week. For this weeks group tutorial Eloise made us show our work without explaining the concept in order for other people to interpret what they think the concept is based off the images. This was really helpful as the people within my group all picked up on the science aspect of this project and a key word that was brought up a lot was fluidity and that was what I wanted to convey with my images, the idea of gender being fluid. This then tied in with the feedback which was to focus on the way in which I style and pose the models in order to keep conveying this idea of fluidity and bodily movements. We discussed using the models in the next shoot I plan to do in different ways that make them almost become one and to style the garments in different ways to normal. We also discussed this idea of fluidity as one of the main themes and to reflect this I plan to video parts of the body and the models moving together, almost like a dance, and then to use these videos as part of a fashion film as the final product.
Artists to look at
- Vivianne Sassen
- Lucy McRae
- Paul Phung
My next step from this tutorial is to research into these artists and to look further into different poses ahead of my shoot I have planned on Monday. One of these feedback from someone in my group was to look at professional dancers and ballerinas as inspiration for the movements of my models in order to portray this idea of fluidity through poses.
