When looking at editorial layouts we took inspiration from the fashion magazine Dazed, we noticed that when introducing the editorial they would use a title page followed by a full page photo so we decided to recreate this using our caption ‘Ladylike’. We used this photo as the introducing photo as we felt it was really strong with the direct eye contact and also because it clearly represents our whole idea of ‘ladylike’ and not acting like a stereotypical lady, breaking the rules. This was the page we created to go after the introductory page spread. For this double page spread we decided to use all the photos that involved the noodles. With the second page we cropped the photos into squares and placed them one above another, this was a page that we took inspiration from again in the Dazed magazine. This is our third double page spread in our editorial. When deciding the layouts and final images we really loved our studio shoot photos but felt like they didn’t tie in with our final shoot. This is where we came up with the idea to crop down the studio shoot to just the legs to then be able to tie into the photo on the right of the legs on the sofa. In doing this as well we felt like it told a narrative of the before and after. This is our fourth and final full double page spread. For this one we decided to stick to a theme by using all the photos taken in the fridge. The right page we used the three grid layout as we couldn’t decide on just one favourite of this shot. This is our ending double page. To be able to tie in the studio photo we used in the middle of the shoot we ended the editorial on this studio shoot. In order to make it look like it wasn’t out of place with the rest of the shoot we cropped it in so you couldn’t see the black studio background. For the right hand side we decided to keep it black with just small writing down the bottom to credit who made it.
