On October 8th in our lecture we were given the task of creating flat-lays with props and objects such as extracts from magazines etc that we felt represented Anna Piaggi’s character. I decided to use vibrant colours and logos that I ripped out from various magazines we had on offer. I chose the deep red Cartier extract as I felt it conveyed Anna’s use of bold colour palettes she uses frequently within her style of work, as well as creating a strong background base. The gold Dior ring of mine, sunglasses and perfume were my take on her more materialistic side of style, as she was also known for loving a designer brand and clothing items/accessories. The quotes I used such as ‘Funky sex kitten’ and the quote visible in the middle of the flat lay were my interpretations of her strong, unique female character as they are short yet punchy and fun empowering words. To match this powerful female attitude I ironically used a cut out of Liam Ghallager with his two fingers up at the camera as I felt the attitude matched Anna’s strong energy, the irony is that I chose to use a male figure for this.

I felt the earrings were appropriate as they’re very glamorous like Anna and continued to match my red theme of the piece.
