Today I began to set up my exhibition space which was exciting to see everything coming together and executing my visions I have had for months. I started with the old wallpaper I found at my Grandad’s home. Using wallpaper paste which I
bought from Dockerills.
To fully cover the boards it took me around three hours it was a lot more difficult than I had anticipated! This was due to having to start again as one of the panels got very wrinkly and had too many air bubbles. So I began to start again with some help from Chris and I finally managed to leave it alone three hours later! Unfortunately , as I did expect the wallpaper on the boards are not completely flat and annoyingly did get wrinkly in the process but they seemed to have dried really well which makes them less noticeable. I also am not too worried at this stage as there will be my other work covering the wrinklier side and also I am under limited time now to achieve everything , so there is no way I could re do it again now!
Next I began to try and envision where everything is going to go. At this point not everything I need is at uni yet as I need to bring it in but I brought my TV and headphones which are all ready to go playing my video. I set this up and covered a stand which I have put my tv on, I was really pleased that everything was working well and the Tv played my video just fine which I was getting a bit worried about if there was going to be any technical difficulties! So far I am happy with how things are going but I still have a lot more planned in store for my space which I am going to finish by Thursday I reckon.
